Hedge Trimming Calendar
Plan hedge work in Keighley around the month and hedge type, then check for nesting wildlife and any rules that apply to the site.

What kind of hedge are you planning to trim?
This is a starting point for Keighley and West Yorkshire gardens. Species, flowers, fruit, nesting activity, weather and where the hedge sits all affect suitable timing.
Check before you cut
Look carefully for active nests before any hedge work. If you find an active nest, leave it undisturbed and postpone work nearby until it is no longer active. The main nesting season is commonly March to August, but nesting can happen outside these months too.
In England, seasonal cutting restrictions apply to qualifying hedgerows on or next to agricultural land; they do not automatically apply to every hedge in a domestic garden. Check the current rules for your situation before work.
